NAILSEA SCHOOL

Staff at Priority Football Academy are well connected with local football clubs and academies at all playing standards, who are keen to provide playing opportunities to players. Students are encouraged to pursue the footballing opportunities available to them by leaning on this network of contacts and by using the resources available to them on the BTEC course.
TRAVEL & LOCATION
Nailsea and Backwell railway station is a 15-minute walk from the school and has direct links from both Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare. Nailsea School is also fortunate enough to be on a main bus route that services many of the towns across North Somerset and is situated within 3 minutes’ walk of Nailsea’s shopping centre.
NAILSEA SIXTH FORM
Rebuilt in 2009, Nailsea School features a bright, modern design with glass-walled classrooms and staff bases, promoting openness and visibility. Its vision is to nurture a supportive community where students are valued and equipped with the skills and qualifications for future success.
Nailsea School’s sixth form was graded as outstanding by Ofsted in April 2024.
The syllabus and teaching standards of Priority Football Academy are all quality-checked and assured by senior members of the sixth form team.
SPORTS FACILITIES
Matches and training sessions take place on state of the art facilities at Nailsea School, including a 4G all-weather floodlit pitch, indoor futsal hall and a grass pitch with running track.
A dedicated classroom is assigned to our BTEC Programme to ensure that our students are provided an outstanding learning environment.
REAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Develop as a footballer in a professional environment whilst studying a Level 3 BTEC in Sport & Exercise. Training as part of a team and competing against some of the South West’s best footballers will be an invaluable experience, unavailable on other programmes. Grow your love for football while exploring a breadth of achievable career prospects and make the most of opportunities to gain qualifications and experience within sport through pathways such as:
- Exit routes to professional academies & semi-pro clubs.
- Assistance with US College Scholarships.
- Travel & work as a football coach in the US.
- Enough UCAS points to attend university.
- Paid apprenticeship program for talented coaches.
- Coach & analyst interships with local professional clubs.

Professional football academies across the globe are increasingly using performance analysis to optimise the learning environments they create for their players.
We want to create that same experience for our students here at Priority Football Academy; allowing them to get to grips with the tools and resources used in the professional game whilst working alongside coaches and analysts with decades of experience in the sports industry.
Interested students can now apply to study a Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise, in the 2025/6 academic year, with Priority Football Academy.
