Alex Lumsden

As well as our Head Coach, Alex is a Youth Development Phase Coach at Forest Green Rovers and previously worked at Bristol Rovers for 3 years. He too holds the UEFA B Licence and Youth Award qualifications and is currently a UEFA A Licence candidate with the Scottish FA. Alex has a vast amount of experience producing pathways for young players stepping into semi-professional football, most recently with Slimbridge AFC in the Southern League.

“At 16 I decided to join a Football and Education Programme and they were two of my best years in football. You learn so much at a key stage of your life - for me it was adapting to senior football as a player and studying to become a coach. We hope to provide the same amount of enjoyment and learning experiences to students so they too will be inspired to progress within sport.”
